Traditional and Modern Anniversary Gifts

By | Sep 26, 2008

The First Anniversary
The traditional gift are of paper, but the modern one is a clock. Paper seems like a natural. Create a memory book. Or place a picture of the bride and groom on the face of a clock.

The Fifth Anniversary
The traditional gift is a wood gift, but the modern one is silverware. Is this the one that you put your silverware in an oak box?

The Tenth Anniversary
The traditional gifts are of Aluminium and Tin with a modern theme of diamond jewelery. I think It would be better to get a diamond ring than a can of coke or siding.

The 25th Anniversary
This is the Silver Anniversary in every way. But what to give that’s silver? A party for 25 may just be the right thing with the dinner served on a silver platter and plates.

The 50th Anniversary
The Golden anniversary is a major milestone since it’s not an easy one to achieve. Both the bride and the groom are in their golden years so just being together may be all that’s needed.

The 75th Anniversary
The Diamond anniversary. A few will make it and it sure would be special.

For the silver wedding anniversary, how about a pair of something in sterling silver. Silver wine coasters are good, one for the white and one for the red, or salt and pepper mills perhaps, a pair of silver candlesticks even. The pieces can be engraved with names and dates to make them even more special.
