2) AT&T – Original name was the American Telephone and Telegraph Corporation. The name was officially changed AT&T in the 1990s.
3. BASF – from Badische Anilin und Soda Fabriken. Anilin and Soda were the first products. Badisch refers to the location in the state of Baden, Germany (Black Forest region).
4. CIGNA — The company was formed in 1982 with the merger of Insurance Company of North America (INA) and Connecticut General (CG). The name is combination of the letters of the predecessor companies, CG and INA.
5. DHL – From its founders, Adrian Dalsey, Larry Hillblom, and Robert Lynn.
6. ESPN — Entertainment and Sports Programmming Network
